1.4501 Flat Sheet Smooth Surface F55 Stainless Steel For Construction
F55 duplex stainless steel is a type of alloy steel known as duplex steel. These alloys are formed from ferrite and contain the properties of both ferritic and austenitic steels in their microstructure. Additionally, they contain more chromium, nickel, and molybdenum. Duplexes are divided into three types; Standard, Super and Lean. Super Duplex also comes with its own variations. Duplex steel F55 plates are special due to their special composition. F55 materials include copper, manganese, silicon, nitrogen, sulfur, phosphorus and tungsten.
As a result, F55 Duplex Sheet is highly corrosion-resistant and strong. F55 duplex steel strip uses its characteristic PREN number to indicate high corrosion resistance. This material can be used specifically in seawater and high chlorine conditions and is not susceptible to corrosion. F55 duplex stainless steel hot rolled plate is processed at very high temperatures and is difficult to modify later. Therefore, it is pre-formatted and hardened before use. Reversible F55 spacers can be used on any device that can use Super Reversible. It can be worked at room temperature with appropriate tools. Alloy F55 Duplex Steel Polished Cold Drawn Plate is used in applications where metal coverage is required and corrosion must be avoided. F55 Super Duplex Composite Panels maintain structural integrity by acting as a corrosion-resistant covering for larger components that might otherwise corrode. F55 UNS S32760 sheet is used for very specific applications. It can also be used interchangeably with other grades of Super Duplex if the need is less specific.
Applications include most marine system tools, subsea pipes, connectors, shafts, rotors, springs, automotive industry parts, chemical process plant tools, food industry and other applications requiring higher strength and lower corrosion rates.
UNS S32760 (F55/1.4501) is listed as NACE (American Society of Corrosion Engineers) Standard Certified MR 01 75 for materials in sour environments and is ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) certified for pressure vessels.
