CNC Machining Customized Hastelloy C-22 Valve Stem Housing Valve Parts
Hastelloy C-22 is another popular nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with significant additions of tungsten and cobalt, which is known for exceptional resistance to a wide variety of chemical process environments, including strong oxidizers such as ferric acids, acetic anhydride, and seawater. It's an upgrade to Hastelloy C-276 with enhanced protection against crevice corrosion, pitting, and stress-corrosion cracking.
Corrosion Resistance:
Hastelloy C-22 provides one of the highest resistance to:
- Chloride-induced pitting and crevice corrosion
- Stress-corrosion cracking in boiling magnesium chloride
- Various mixed or contaminated chemical solutions
Valve stem housings made of Hastelloy C-22 are designed for service in environments requiring high resistance to corrosion and are frequently used in:
- Chemical processing
- Petrochemical
- Marine engineering
- Pollution control equipment
- Flue gas desulfurization systems
