Hastelloy C-22 is another high-performance nickel-chromium-molybdenum-tungsten alloy known for its outstanding resistance to a wide range of chemical process environments, including strong oxidizers such as ferric acids, acetic anhydride, and seawater. Physical Properties:

  • Melting Range: 1399-1446°C (2550-2635°F)

Heat Treatment:

Forging of Hastelloy C-22 should be performed between 1750℉ and 2050℉ (955℃ and 1121℃), and the material should be rapidly cooled afterward. This alloy is not hardenable by heat treatment.

Corrosion Resistance:

Excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress-corrosion cracking. Ability to withstand a variety of chemical environments, including those with oxidizing and reducing conditions.
